Information on the Natural Control of Skin Cancer

01 / 09 / 2014

Skin cancer is a leading form of cancer in the United States and other industrialized countries. In the US alone 3.5 million new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed every year. Until now no effective treatment is available.
The reason skin cancer is so wildly feared is not the skin tumor itself, but the fact that the cancer cells spread (metastasize) from the skin to other organs and eventually throughout the body. Nine out of ten cancer patients die not at the stage of a single tumor but during the stage of tumor metastasis.

According to current statistics, one out of 5 people in the US will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Worse, since there is no cure, the rates are still increasing.www.skincancer.org/skin-cancer-information/skin-cancer-facts

Despite this fact, very little research has been conducted over the years to address the mechanism of metastasis and how to prevent cancer cells from spreading. The two main reasons for that are: 1. This mechanism is a particular challenge, because it is common in all types of cancer, no matter in which organ it starts. 2. Pharmaceutical drugs that target the universal mechanism of how cancer spreads would – inevitably – limit the revenues of the drug companies that make billions from chemotherapy and other cancer drugs.

We developed a specific combination of micronutrients and tested them for the ability to inhibit human cancer cells from spreading. A unique characteristic of these micronutrients is that they work in synergy, i.e., like instruments in an orchestra. In this landmark study,* we also identified the specific mechanism by which this micronutrient synergy inhibits the spread of cancer cells in the body. The most important among these beneficial mechanisms is the inhibition of enzymes that every cancer cell uses to pave its way through the body tissue. Our experiments have shown that by blocking these “biological scissors” these micronutrients slow down or even stop the spread of cancer cells in the body.

Considering the devastating side-effects of chemotherapy, radiation and other conventional cancer treatments, our studies are good news for patients with skin cancer. Moreover, these studies offer a reasonable approach towards the most critical step of all – the prevention of skin cancer. This is particularly important for people with a family history of skin cancer or people frequently exposed to the sun.
